I had to have a keyboard display on a test terminal.  I simply had a button on the screen which launched the on screen keyboard that comes with Windows.  Start->Run-> OSK.  Works wonders on touch screen monitors!

Subject: RE: [vrf] Number Pad?

Kelly,

Are you talking about a Number Pad for mouse click entry or a Touch Screen?

The first would seem to be very simple with a heap of Confirm(OK) buttons and concatenating the results to a text variable.  When the number Pad ‘Enter’ button is pressed, converting the text string to a number, and then reset the string to Null.

Would you want the numbers in Numeric Keypad or telephone keypad layout?

If I get time later today, I’ll give it a go.

Cheers,
Gary

Subject: [vrf] Number Pad?

Greetings everyone. I have been lurking here for some time now and haven't posted. It is nice to find such an active and useful forum such as this...

I have been a user since VEE 5, and am currently using version 8.5. I love the new features (jumped from version 6), but am concerned about how resource hungry the new version is. I frequently write in v6.0 for small embedded computers to get decent execution speed. I have been gettting lots of requests lately to improve my GUI, so I have to chime in about the requests about graphic improvements. Yes please!

In any case, my real reason for this post is - has anyone built a nice "number pad" to enter digits on the user panels? I'd like to see one...

Regards,
